At South County Hearing Services, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support for individuals with hearing difficulties. We understand that hearing loss can have a profound impact on one’s quality of life, affecting personal relationships, communication, and overall well-being. That’s why we are committed to helping our patients regain their sense of hearing.
We believe in the power of personalized care. We recognize that each individual’s hearing needs and challenges are unique, and we tailor our services to meet those specific requirements. Our team of experienced and compassionate hearing care professionals is here to guide you through every step of your hearing journey.
We start with a thorough audiological evaluation. If an audiological evaluation determines that hearing loss does not need further medical investigation, then hearing aids are one option for management. Today’s hearing aids are vastly improved when compared to those available just a few years ago.
South County Hearing offers the latest digital hearing aid technology. Hearing aids, like many items, come in a variety of styles with a variety of options.
Fitting techniques have also improved. Such technological advances assist us in selecting and fitting the device so that it most closely meets an individual user’s needs.
Pricing is based on the level of technology and options selected. Our Patient Care Coordinator is available to verify any hearing aid benefits offered by your health insurance. In addition, a zero-interest payment plan is offered through Care Credit.
Diagnostic evaluation, repairs, and programming are available not only for hearing aids purchased from South County Hearing but also for those purchased elsewhere.
What are the steps in the Hearing Care Process?
The Hearing Care Process involves several stages to ensure that each patient receives a hearing aid that is properly adjusted and provides the best possible results in accordance with the unique hearing needs of the person with hearing loss.

Fitting and Programming
Once you have chosen a hearing aid, your hearing professional will fit the device into your ear and program it to your specific hearing loss. This may include adjusting the volume, frequency, and tone, and programming other applicable settings to ensure that the hearing aid is working effectively. We ensure the devices are meeting your hearing needs using an objective verification measure called Real Ear Measurement.
Demonstration and Training
Your hearing professional will then demonstrate the basic hearing aid how-tos. This includes how to use the hearing aid, how to insert and remove it, turning the device on/off, adjusting the volume, and changing/charging the batteries. You will also be introduced to the proper way of cleaning your hearing aid on a day-to-day basis.
Follow-up and Adjustments
After the hearing aid fitting, a follow-up appointment will be scheduled to ensure that the hearing aid is working effectively and to make any necessary adjustments. This stage is vital in ensuring that you are satisfied with the performance of your hearing aid and that you are receiving optimal hearing improvement.
