Dr. Christine Stewart worked for a large ENT group in East Greenwich and Providence from 1997 until 2006. In March 2007 an unstoppable team of hearing health care providers was formed when she purchased South County Hearing Services and met Lorrie Florence.
Alexis Olson, Au.D., CCC-A
Alexis Olson is an audiologist that provides comprehensive hearing evaluations, hearing aid consultations and fittings, cochlear implant evaluations and mapping services and other audiology services.
Dr. Alexis Olson graduated from the University of Connecticut with her doctorate of audiology in 2024. She graduated with her bachelor’s of science in cognitive science at the University of Delaware in 2020. Her clinical externship was completed at the Providence VA system. During her time at UConn, she also completed the Connecticut Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND). Prior to pursuing audiology, Dr. Olson worked at the Carroll Center for the Blind in Newton, Massachusetts where she learned about rehabilitation for individuals with vision loss. Dr. Olson is passionate about aural rehabilitation for adults with hearing loss which is what landed her in the field of audiology.
Lorrie Florence, HIS
Lorrie Florence is a hearing instrument specialist providing hearing aids, hearing tests, and other audiology services in Narragansett, RI.
Lorrie has been at South County Hearing Services since 1993. She has extensive knowledge of the challenges patients face and is dedicated to helping them hear to the best of their ability.
Dr. Stewart and Lorrie joined together as a team and they enjoy an impeccable reputation as hearing health care providers and strive to keep up to date with the latest advancements in hearing instrument technology. A large number of Dr. Stewart and Lorrie’s patients have been with them for more than a decade and they have had the pleasure of seeing their patient’s quality of life improved by the use of aided listening devices.
